Remember the post I did here about the pregnant Egyptian woman stabbed to death in a German court?
Well the court in Germany has handed down a sentence of LIFE IMPRISONMENT for the man convicted of her very public murder. Read the BBC account here.
And in an ironic circumstance, the man turned up to court with a hood over his head and his face completely covered.

I am not sure how the courts in Europe work but in America life in prison does not necessarily mean life in prison. They can get paroled for good behavior, for snitching and various other reasons. May Allah swt heal the hearts of her family ameen. May He reunite them again in the highest Jannah. May He forgive her for all her sins AMEEN.
May Allah swt guide us and all of humanity to the truth AMEEN.

I cried when i heard of her story. Her beautiful baby is mother-less now because of some idiot man. argh makes me so sick !
Alhamdulillah, justice has been served in this world. Insha'Allah this man will have time to realize the severity and cruelty of his actions. He might even choose to learn about the religion of the woman he killed, repent for all he's done, and become a peaceful Muslim. Allahu alim.
May Allah forgive our sisters sins and accept her as martyr, and guide her killer to Islam, amen.
I believe there is a hadith (im not sure about its authenticity) that said that the one who makes a Muslims a martyr and later becomes a believer, they will be the best of companions in jennah. Because one owes his/her status of a martyr to that person and the latter they have become a believer also.
I live in Germany but in Berlin and when she was originally killed they didn't say why. It received very little press and they tried to play it down. But it became quite embarassing for the Germans as it hit a world-wide scale. The security guard who came (and then 'accidently' shot her husband in the leg) didn't come soon enough (he apparently took his time). Also that region of Germany is not exactly foreigner-friendly.
In the last two days, I can't tell you how much discrimination I have faced just for wearing hijab. I am so sick of Berlin and really the Germans think they are quite tolerant and they expect foreigners to integrate but a study demonstrated that they DON'T allow the foreigners to integrate. It's quite sad because they should learn their lesson after the Berlin wall came down but there are still issues in that respect and still people wanting the wall back up.
My husband is a German Muslim and he was having a discussion with a German non-Muslim that currently two incidents have happened here (one being Marwa) which are the so-called 'first stone thrown' incidences. We are in the opinion just at least one more and the Muslims here will be targeted even more and it will become something 'normal' here.
I have a 5-month old and I don't want her to grow up here in this society. I'm coming back to Syd for a wonderful job and hopefully it works out and we stay there because I have had enough of being stereotyped into an uneducated Muslim woman (by the way, I obtained my PhD at the age of 26; I'm now 30) by the Germans.
Sorry had to vent but that's the reality of the situation here.
Oh yeah and life doesn't mean life in Germany. He will get out of jail soon which is quite unfortunate. Talk about justice, it's ridiculous.
although the bbc did cover this story on last nights news i noticed when they mentioned that her husband was injured in the courtroom while trying to protect his wife they failed to mention who attacked him. funny how the police and the government will not acknowledge that they also contributed to this already tragic story.

when the local prison population finds out he killed an unborn child, he's gonna going to get his comeuppance.
Well I'm pleased that he got the longest sentence. We'll just have to see whether that is long enough. You're right about the head covering....WEIRD.
